Four members of a single family were killed by an axe in Kabul’s seventh police precinct.

Confirming the incident, the ministry of interior affairs said that unknown men entered the residence of an employee of the ministry of transport on Sunday evening and brutally butchered four of his family members, including three children and a woman and then fled from the area.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the incident. The interior ministry spokesman said an investigation had been launched into the case by police.

The Afghan capital has been witnessing various criminal incidents these days. Armed theft and murders have forced people to launch a campaign dubbed “Kabul is not safe” on social media.
