Four members of a single family were killed by unknown armed men in Khan Abad district of northeastern Kunduz Province, according to local officials.

Provincial Governor Abdul Satar Mirzakwal said a group of unidentified armed men attacked a residential house in Bandar – e Bukhari area of Khan Abad district on Sunday morning, killing four members of the family including a woman and injuring two others.

The perpetrators of the incident have been arrested and are being prosecuted, the governor added.
