Ghani, USA’s Blinken discuss Afghan peace over phone

The President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in a phone conversation discussed the peace process.
Ghani asserted that the government and people of Afghanistan have strong will and consensus toward the success of a dignified peace, the presidential palace said in a statement.
The US secretary of state praised the sacrifices of the people, especially the Afghan security and defense forces, in the fight against terrorism, the statement said.
During the phone call, the two sides also emphasized on regional and international diplomacy for the success of the peace process.
