High-ranking Afghan officials have returned from Doha to Kabul on Sunday night.

The officials including chairman of the high council for national reconciliation, Abdullah Abdullah and acting foreign minister, Mohammad Haneef Atmar, who travelled to Doha to attend the opening ceremony of the intra-Afghan talks have returned to Kabul.

On the sideline of the ceremony, Mr. Abdullah met with Qatari Emir, US and Qatari foreign ministers, and representatives of regional and international countries and discussed opportunities and challenges in the peace process.

In a press conference on Sunday, Abdullah, said that ceasefire was the priority of the Afghan government and the Taliban’s negotiating teams.
