The second day of talks between Afghan delegates and Taliban representatives will be resumed in Doha, the capital of Qatar on Monday (8 July).

Meanwhile, negotiations between Taliban and US representatives have been halted for two days.

Leader of Hezb-e Islami Gulbuddin Hekmatyar says that after conclusion of talks between Taliban and Afghanistan delegates, the US and Taliban would resume their talks on Tuesday.

Participants of the meeting have said that they will pay every effort to discuss a possible ceasefire and the start an intra-Afghan dialogue.

Around 70 delegates from Afghanistan representing political parties, civil society and women activists have participated in the talks.

Elsewhere, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has expressed hope over the meeting.
