Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian told the 1st National Conference of Iran and Neighbors that if the Taliban formed an inclusive government, his country would recognize them and allow their embassy in Tehran.

The Islamic Emirate, however, has consistently said that the current government is inclusive and that efforts are underway to strengthen it.

On the other hand, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan has called for establishment of a comprehensive political system in Afghanistan.

Okada Takashi met with Taliban authorities during a seven-day visit to Kabul to discuss humanitarian aid, the rights of all people, especially women and minorities, formation of a comprehensive political system and prevention of Afghanistan from becoming a hotbed for terrorism.

Meanwhile, Abdul Kabir, the Islamic Emirate’s deputy for political affairs, in a meeting with the Japanese ambassador said that instead of exerting pressures on the Taliban, the international community should follow the path of understanding.
