Police in northern Kunduz  said that a senior commander of the Taliban was killed in the province.

Provincial Police Chief Abdul Rashid Bashir says that the Taliban commander was killed along with 26 other Taliban fighters during clashes with Afghan security and defense forces.

In the meantime, Afghan security forces reported to have repelled a Taliban attack on Qala-e Zal یistrict.

Kunduz Police chief says the district has been cleared of the Taliban.
