A key member of the Taliban has been arrested in Kabul.

The Ministry of Interior Affairs in a released statement said the key Taliban member was arrested in an overnight operation conducted by Police Special Unit in Kabul’s fifth precinct.

The detainee is accused of organizing terrorist attacks against government employees in Ghazni province and was arrested in Kabul after he attempted to organize terrorist attacks, according to the statement.

In a separate report, the ministry of defense reported to have thwarted a terrorist attack in Kabul’s ninth precinct.
