The chief of staff of the Taliban’s shadow governor for northern Faryab Province has been killed along with four others in an aerial strike.

In a released statement, the 209 Shaheen Military Corps in north said that Amanullah, chief of staff of the Taliban shadow governor, was killed in an air strike in Timorak village of Almar district.

In a separate report, 209 Shaheen Corps added that a key commander of the Taliban had surrendered himself to security forces in Sayad district of Sar-e Pol province.
