US Special Envoy for Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad met with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and discussed wide-range of issues.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the Afghan peace process and regional and global issues, according to reports.

Tajik president reiterated his county’s support for the Afghan government’s efforts to ensure peace and stability.

Meanwhile, Khalilzad said that he had discussed with the President of Tajikistan ways to ensure peace and make Afghanistan an economic bridge between Central and South Asia.
