The representatives of the Taliban in Doha met with the US peace envoy, Zalmay Khalilzad, on Monday evening.

The two sides discussed the implementation of the Doha agreement, the current situation in the country and the intra-Afghan peace talks, a spokesman for the Taliban’s political bureau, Mohammad Naeem, said.

The meeting comes as representatives of the Taliban, the Afghan government and some other countries are scheduled to attend a three-day conference in Moscow on the Afghan peace process.
