A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of his wife in Takhar province.

The man named Nasir Ahmad shot dead his 20-year-old wife in Toymaz village for unknown reasons, police said.

Police added that the man had been detained before fleeing the area, and that his case had been sent to the judiciary for further investigation.
