A massive fire at a liquid gas facility in western Herat province was contained after several hours.

Provincial local officials say a fire broke out at an oil and gas facility in the Kamarkolagh area, north of Herat city, this morning, injuring one person and cutting off Turkmenistan’s imported power line.

Earlier, an extensive fire at Islam Qala port in Herat destroyed more than 1,000 oil and gas tankers and caused hundreds of millions of dollar damages.
