Interior Ministry spokesman Mirwais Stanekzai said that special police unit of the ministry arrested the mastermind of the attack on Eid worshipers in Kabul.

The arrest was made during a targeted operation in Kabul’s fifth district.

The detainee confessed he was involved in several targeted attacks in Paghman district.

The Taliban have not yet commented on the report.
