Afghan Ministry of Defense has warned the Taliban against continuation of their attacks in various parts of the country.

“If the Taliban do not halt their attack by the end of this week, Afghan security forces will return to offensive posture and end their defensive position,” Defense Minister Asadullah Khalid said.

Speaking at a joint press conference with acting interior minister and acting head of the National Directorate of Security (NDS), Khaled said:” The Afghan security forces are in a defensive position because of the peace agreement, and if the Taliban fail to uphold their commitments, the group’s fighters would be attacked anywhere.”
