Medical charity Doctors Without Borders (Medecins Sans Frontieres, or MSF) announced on Monday it had stopped its operation and withdrew from a maternity hospital in Kabul’s Dasht-e Barchi area.

The MSF made the decision following attack on a maternity hospital in Kabul that killed one nurse, 15 mothers and two newborn babies, the charity organization said in a statement.

The statement has expressed concern over repetition of similar attacks, unless perpetrators of attack on hospital are identified and prosecuted.

MSF is a non-governmental humanitarian organization of French origin best known for its projects in conflict zones.
