Hashmatullah Alizai, head of Nangarhar Customs department, was arrested along with five employees of the directorate on corruption charges.

Provincial Governor Zia-ul haq Amarkhil confirms that Hashmatullah Alizai, was arrested by security forces two days ago on charges of corruption along with two deputies, an assessment director, a director of warehouses and another employee.

Meanwhile, some residents of Nangarhar call for a serious fight against corruption in other governmental institutions.
