The Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) has voiced support for the Afghan government’s peace efforts.

OIC Ambassador for Afghanistan Huseyin Avni Botsali met with Chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation Abdullah Abdullah at Sapidar Palace on Sunday.

He assured Abdullah that OIC was prepared to ensure peace and stability in Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, Abdullah stressed the importance of regional consensus in the Afghan peace process, and added that OIC plays fundamental role in this regard.
