One person was killed and 15 others were injured in an explosion in the western part of Mazar-e-Sharif on Thursday afternoon.

The blast, caused by a mine planted in a bicycle, targeted a Hilux-type vehicle.

Officials at Abu Ali Sina regional Hospital in Balkhi say two of the injured are in critical condition.

No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the explosion.
