A Person diagnosed with positive case of COVID-19 has escaped Abu Ali Sina -e- Balkhi regional hospital and is now in Dawlat Abad district of the province.

Sources say, the individual is now in a Taliban-controlled area. “The Taliban in a telephone conversation with Balkh health officials have demanded for an ambulance to transfer back the patient to Balkh regional hospital,” the sources said.

Ten positive cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Herat, Samangan, Kapisa and Balkh provinces so far, according to the health ministry.
