President Ghani meets Uzbek Foreign Minister in Kabul

Uzbekistan Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov met with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani at the presidential palace on Tuesday, the presidential palace said.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the expansion of relations between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, regional cooperation and the peace process.
The Uzbek foreign minister handed over the invitation of the President of his country to President Ghani to attend a conference on regional connection, common challenges and opportunities to be held in Tashkent in July.
The Uzbek Foreign Minister added that the leaders of India and Pakistan, as well as representatives of the United States, Russia and the European Union, will also attend the conference.
The two sides also discussed how to implement the economic and cultural agreements signed between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan in the past two years, the presidential palace statement further added.
