Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has traveled to eastern Nangarhar province on Sunday ( 20 October) to share sorrow with family members of those who have lost their lives in an attack on a mosque in Haska Mina district.

Provincial Governor Spokesman Attaullah Khogyani said that president Ghani had also provided cash grants to families of the victims.

National Security Adviser Hamdullah Mohib, Senate Speaker Fazl Hadi Muslimyar, Deputy house speaker and some members of the cabinet are accompanying Ashraf Ghani in his trip to Nangarhar.

70 people lost their lives and 60 others got injured after several missiles hit a mosque in Haska Mina district during Friday prayers.

The Taliban denied that it was responsible for the attack.
