New cabinet to be introduced in near future – Sapidar
24 Aug 2020
Spokesman for the High Council for National Reconciliation Faridoon Khwazoon told Arezo TV on Sunday that the Presidential Palace and Sapidar have made some progresses to introduce the new cabinet.
The fate of the new cabinet will be clear in the near future, he said.
Three months after the political agreement between President Ghani and Abdullah Abdullah, the two sides have so far failed to appoint members of the new cabinet which has sparked criticisms.
Criticizing the presidential palace and Sapidar for failing to introduce their new cabinet, Afghan lawmaker, Fakur Beheshti, said delay in introduction of the new cabinet, had slowed down governance works.
He has urged both Ghani and Abdullah to take practical actions for the implementation of their agreement.
In the meantime, a number of political activists say, given the importance of the peace process, Afghan leaders are seriously required to put aside their differences and take coherent actions for good governance.
The presidential palace has not yet commented on the subject.
