The attack on the ceremony commemorating the slain Abdul Ali Mazari in Kabul was condemned internationally.

Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai described the attack as “inhuman act” and urged the people of Afghanistan to stand against plots with full vigilance and do not let efforts in regard to peace fade away.

In the meantime, UNAMA in a press release seriously condemned the attack and described it as “inhuman crime.” “Those who have organized and enabled this attack must be brought to justice and held to account,” UNAMA said.

Gunmen opened fire on the 25th memorial ceremony of Abdul Ali Mazari on Friday and engaged in clashes with Afghan security forces for hours.

The attack claimed by IS-K left more than 30 killed and 55 others wounded.
