Seven people were killed and 38 others were injured in clashes and mortar shelling in Guzara district of western Herat province.

Seven people, including a civilian, were killed and 38 others, including eight civilians, were wounded in a mortar shelling and clashes in the restive of Pashtun Pol and Pol- e Minardar areas in Guzara district of Herat, Arif Jilani, chief physician of Herat District Hospital, said.

No group or individuals has claimed responsibility for the incident.
