At least seven Taliban fighters were killed and injured in northern Faryab Province on Sunday.

Taliban fighters carried out a group attack on several security outposts in Gorziwan district, but faced strong resistance from Afghan security forces, as a result, four key members of the group were killed and three others were wounded, Faryab Police Headquarters said in a statement.

No casualties were inflicted on security and civilians during the clashes, the statement added.
