Six members of a single family were killed as the ceiling of their home collapsed due to poor maintenance in eastern Kunar Province.

Local official say the incident occurred last night due to heavy rainfall in Khas district of the province. The victims include a woman, a man and four children.

At least 50 people have lost their lives in the country over the past one month due to natural disasters, according to the government ministry on national disaster management.
