Six civilians including four children and two women were killed in a mortar attack in Ghor Province.

The mortar hit a residential house in Dawlat Yar district of Ghor on Monday, according to sources.

Eight children were also wounded in the attack, the sources added.

In a separate report, two women lost their lives and a driver injured after unknown gunmen opened fire on a three-wheel motorcycle in ninth precinct of Herat City.
