Six public uprising forces were killed in a car bomb explosion in western Herat Province.

A car packed with explosives went off at a security checkpoint in Kohsan district of Herat Province last night at 10 p.m, killing six public uprising forces and wounding four others, a security source told Arezo.

The Taliban have claimed responsibility for the attack.
