At least six Taliban mine planters were killed and injured by their own mine explosion in Balkh Province, 209 Shaheen Military Corps said in a statement.

Three Taliban fighters were killed and three others got injured while the Taliban were planting a mine in Sholgara District, the statement added.

The intelligence chief of the Taliban for Sholgara district is among the injured, according to the statement.

The Taliban has not yet commented on the report.
