Street photography exhibition held in Afghan west in support of military forces
01 Apr 2019
Tens of photos from activities of Afghan security forces were exhibited at a street photography exhibition in western Herat province of Afghanistan on Monday (1 April)
Local officials say such exhibitions help strengthen the morale of security forces at the frontline.

” When you carry weapons on your shoulders, you go far away from your homes, children, wives, and mothers to defend and protect your land and people, the people indeed appreciate you and stand beside you, such an appreciation gives us a good feeling and we want to transfer this feeling to our security forces”, Provincial Governor Abdul Qayum Rahimi said.
In the meantime, security officials in Afghan west say, they are working on a plan to conduct a joint military operation to ensure the security of residents of the western provinces.
” Our joint forces stationed in northern Herat are fully prepared and we have mutual coordination and security plans to conduct operations in those volatile districts which are at high-security risk to lower the level of threats. We will also protect those areas which their security is fully ensured”, said Aminollah Amarkhil, Herat Police Chief.
The three-day exhibition has been held in front of the governor office of Herat Province, according to organizers.
