Suicide bomber hits medical facility near Bagram base

Local security officials in Parwan Province say that a suicide bomber rammed his vehicle packed with explosives into an under-construction medical facility near Bagram Air field on Wednesday morning.
The attacker struck the facility being built to help the Afghan people who live near the base, the US military said. There were no coalition casualties and the base remains secure, according to American officials.
Eyewitnesses say a group of assailants got engaged in clashes with security guards of Bagram Airfield after the explosion destroyed a protective wall of the base.
More than 50 people got injured in the incident, according to Parwan local security officials.
