Taliban attack in Herat leaves eight security forces killed

Sources told Arezo News that eight security forces were killed, three wounded and seven others were taken hostage after a group of Taliban fighters carried out an attack on a security checkpoint and engaged in fierce clashes with army soldiers in Shindand district of western Herat Province.
The clashes have begun last night and are still underway, the sources added.
Security and local officials have not yet commented on the report.
But the Taliban claimed that ten security forces were killed and seven others were wounded in the attack.
