Local official in northern Jowzjan Province say that Taliban fighters carried out an attack on a military outpost in Aqcha district of the province and killed at least 22 ANA soldiers.

” A Taliban infiltrator poisoned the soldiers before the group’s fighters carried out an attack on them,” Jowzjan MP Azizullah Olfat said.

Provincial governor has confirmed the incident and vowed revenge for every drop of blood of the soldiers.

Earlier, a local police chief and 11 others were killed during clashes with the Taliban in Faizabad district of Jowzjan Province.
