UN Special Envoy for Afghanistan Deborah Lyons on Wednesday discussed the Afghan peace process with the Taliban Chief Negotiator Mullah Baradar.

The two sides emphasized on the release of prisoners and the start of the intra-Afghan negotiations, Spokesman for the Taliban Political Bureau in Qatar Suhail Shaheen said on his twitter.

Other issues like various aspects of the peace process, preventions of civilian casualties, human rights and humanitarian assistance came under detailed discussion, Shaheen added.
