A commander of the Taliban along with five others have been killed in northern Balkh Province.

The 209 Shaheen Military Corps in north in a released statement said the Taliban commander was killed during clashes with Afghan security forces in Chahar Bolak District.

The statement further added that Mullah Bashir in charge of the group’s weapon procurement has got injured during the clashes.

Taliban have not commented on the report so far.
