Taliban delegation led by Ghani Baradar visits Pakistan

A Taliban delegation led by the group’s Chief Negotiator Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar has paid a visit to Pakistan.
“Today, a high-level delegation led by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar left for Pakistan at the invitation of Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry. The delegation will hold talks with senior Pakistani officials, ” Taliban Political Bureau Spokesman Suhail Shaheen said on his twitter.
These visits were postponed due to the spread of COVID-19 but the series has been resumed now. Delegations of the Political Office will pay more visits to other countries in near future as well, Shaheen added.
This comes as Pakistan has recently imposed sanctions on tens of Taliban members including Mullah Baradar and deputy head of the group.
Pakistani government announced banning the insurgents’ bank accounts and properties in their premises, terror outfits are also banned from traveling abroad.
