At least 11 Afghan security forces were killed in an attack carried out by a Taliban infiltrator in southern Kandahar Province, some sources said.

However, local security officials say seven police officers have lost their lives in the attack.

In a separate report, an explosion at the entrance of Kandahar’s university killed a police officer and wounded four others.
