Taliban intensify attacks on security outposts in Kunduz

Local sources in northeastern Kunduz Province say that Taliban fighters have intensified their attacks on security outposts in the restive of Kunduz, warning of fall of these outposts to the Taliban if the central government does not pay any attention in this regard.
Residents of Kunduz also confirm that the Taliban fighters got engaged in fierce fighting with Afghan security forces on Friday in the restive of the province.
Mohammad Khaled, a resident of Kunduz, said: Taliban fighters have recently intensified their attacks and even carried out attack on security checkpoints in the restive of Kunduz City.
Kunduz Provincial Governor Abdul Satar Mirzakwal who visited a number of military checkpoints, has announced that the government will conduct cleanup operation to improve the security situation.
He confirmed that the Taliban had carried out attacks on the restive of Kunduz and inflicted financial losses to civilians.
In the meantime, a number of soldiers on the battlefield ensured that Taliban attacks in Kunduz were contained.
Although, reducing violence is one of the key issues in the Doha agreement between the Taliban and the United States, in recent days the group has intensified its attacks even on big cities; what the government and its strategic partners describe it as a clear violation of this document.
