Taliban shadow district chief, eight others killed in Baghlan and Paktika

Taliban district chief for Khenjan district of Baghlan province was killed during clashes with Afghan security forces.
Mullah Amir and three other Taliban fighters were killed while they attempted to carry out attacks on several security outposts in Doshi district, provincial police spokesman, Ahmad Jawid Basharat, said.
In a separate report, eight Taliban fighters were killed after the group’s fighters engaged in heavy clashes with Afghan security forces in Argon district of Paktika Province, the Ministry of Defense (MoD) said in a statement.
Quantity of weapons of the Taliban were destroyed by Afghan forces during the clashes, the statement added.
The Taliban have not yet commented on the report.
