Taliban storm district, kill 9 police officers in north

14 Afghan police forces were killed as Taliban fighters carried out attacks on several security outposts in Dasht-e Archi district of northern Kunduz Province.
Provincial Governor Spokesman Esmatullah Muradi said the Taliban fighters had stormed the district late last night, killing 9 police forces and wounding 5 others.
Four Taliban fighters were killed and five others were wounded in the exchange of fire, he added.
