The Ministry of Defense (MoD) said Monday that Afghan security forces inflicted heavy casualties on the Taliban in different parts of the country.

“In the past 24 hours, 110 insurgents have been killed and 81 others wounded in clashes and attacks by security and defense forces in Ghazni, Nangarhar, Zabul, Herat, Kunduz, Baghlan, Badakhshan and Kandahar provinces, “the ministry said in a statement.

135 mines have also been discovered and neutralized during the operations, the statement added.

 The Taliban have not yet commented on the report.
