Taliban suffer heavy casualties in Kunduz, Farah

The Ministry of Defense reported on Tuesday that 48 Taliban fighters were killed in Kunduz and Farah provinces during Afghan security forces air and ground operations.
37 Taliban fighters were killed and 15 others were injured in an aerial raid conducted by Afghan air force in Dasht-e Archi district of Kunduz, the ministry said.
The aerial raid was carried out after the Taliban fighters carried out attacks on several security outposts in the district. Afghan forces have cleared Dasht-e Archi district from the Taliban, the defense ministry’s statement further added.
In a separate report, Afghan forces inflicted heavy losses on the Taliban in Posh Rud district of Farah Province. Taliban fighters engaged in clashes with Afghan forces after they stormed several security outposts, as a result, 11 Taliban were killed and quantity of their weapons were seized by Afghan army forces.
The Taliban have not yet commented on the reports.
