Taliban suffer heavy fatalities in three provinces

Afghan security forces have inflicted heavy casualties on the Taliban in Balkh, Faryab and Kandahar provinces.
26 Taliban fighters including two of the group’s commanders were killed and nine others were wounded in three aerial strikes in Sholgara, Chaharbolak and Chemtal districts of northern Balkh Province, the 209 Shaheen Military Corps said in a statement.
13 Taliban fighters were also killed in an Afghan security forces’ ambush in Qaisar district of Faryab Province, the statement added.
In a separate report, the Ministry of Defense (MoD) said that,14 Taliban militants were killed during an operation conducted by Afghan security forces in Panjwayee district of southern Kandahar Province.
The Taliban have not yet commented on the reports.
