Taliban suffer losses during clashes with Afghan forces in Kunduz

At least 30 Taliban fighters were killed during clashes with Afghan forces in northern Kunduz Province, Afghan Defense Ministry said in a statement.
Taliban fighters carried out attacks on several outposts of Afghan security forces in Khan Abad district but faced strong resistance from these forces, the statement said.
30 Taliban fighters including two commanders of the group known as Qari Abdul Razaq and Mawlawi Abas were killed and eight others including two other commanders of the group known as Faizani and Qari Ibrahim were injured during the firefight, the statement further added.
Four vehicles, 8 motorcycles and quantity of weapons of the Taliban were destroyed by Afghan forces.
However, the Taliban said in a statement that 23 civilians were killed in an aerial conducted by Afghan forces in Khan Abad district.
