The Taliban will not see face of interim government – Afghan president
21 Feb 2021
Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani said Saturday that the Taliban won’t see the face an interim government.
“As long as I am alive, they will not see the face of an interim government, “the president said.
In a telephone conversation with some Afghan soldiers, Ghani said the issue of establishing an interim government was aimed at confusing the public.
The president has previously rejected the interim government’s plan, saying his primary responsibility is to hand over power to his successor based on law.
