Total COVID-19 cases reach 3,392 in Afghanistan

168 new positive cases of the new coronavirus have been recorded in 15 provinces of Afghanistan in the past 24 hours, Afghan Public Health Ministry reported on Wednesday.
Out of 701 suspected samples, 168 positives cases were registered in the country, Deputy Health Minister Wahid Majroh told a press conference.
According to the ministry, 67 cases have been registered in Kabul, 32 in Herat, 14 in Kandahar, 11 in Nangarhar, 9 in Laghman, 9 in Faryab, 8 in Logar, 4 in Balkh, 4 in Paktia, 4 in Baghlan, 2 in Kunar, 1 in Helmand, 1 in Samangan, 1 in Sar-e Pol and 1 in Nuristan province, bringing the tally to 3,392.
In the meantime, 37 people have recovered and 9 others have died of the virus within the past 24 hours, taking the number of recovered to 458 and dead to 104.
