US President Donald Trump said on Saturday that he would meet the Taliban leaders in a little while.

“I will be meeting personally with Taliban leaders in the not-too-distant future. And we will be very much hoping that they will be doing what they say they are going to be doing: they will be killing terrorists. They will be killing some very bad people. They will keep that fight going,” he told reporters at the White House.

The US president described the peace agreement as successful and promised to meet the leaders of the group shortly.

Mr. Trump insists that the people of Afghanistan are tired of war and the United States has also made many sacrifices in the conflict, therefore, it is time to bring back the American troops home.
