Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said Tuesday that the Istanbul meeting in consultation with Qatar, the United States and the United Nations has been postponed until Eid al-Fitr.

The High Council for National Reconciliation of Afghanistan (HCNR) announced Monday it had prepared a list of participants of the Istanbul conference.

The delay in the Istanbul meeting on peace in Afghanistan has also met with a backlash from some lawmakers.

Earlier, the Taliban in response to delay in US troop withdrawal said, they would not attend any conference on Afghanistan until all foreign troops had left.
