Afghan security forces have arrested two key members of the Taliban in western Herat Province, according to a statement published by the National Directorate of Security (NDS).

One of the detainees was behind organizing major attacks on highways, water dams, governmental facilities and districts, according the NDS.

The other member arrested by Afghan Special Force was Taliban’s health official, the statement further added.

Taliban has not commented on the report.
